Péter Szijjártó, the Hungarian Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Minister, received Francis Fannon, the head of the US State Department’s Energy Bureau, on Monday morning, the Hungarian Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Department said in a statement released by the Hungarian media agency MTI.
“Hungary has taken all necessary measures,” and for that reason Péter Szijjártó called for the support of his American counterpart to help “move other Central European countries to cooperate to improve energy supply in Central Europe” – shows in the communiqué.
Szijjártó referred to Romania. For a long time, Budapest asks the US to put pressure on the Romanian authorities.
