On Tuesday, the High Court postponed, to 8th of June, the decision in the DGASPC Teleorman File, in which the president of The Chamber of Deputies, Liviu Dragnea, is tried for instigating of abuse in workplace and adulteration of documents as his quality of Teleorman County Council president.
The verdict was taken after a part of defendants handed in more conclusions, therefore giving a chance to study them.
During the last hearing, the prosecutor asked for Dragnea penalties oriented to the medium provided by law, seven years and six months of prison for instigation to workplace abuse and two and a half years for instigation to falsification documents.
Moreover, in the case of the PSD leader, the prosecutor claims that these doings present in this dossier are concurrent with those in the “Referendumul” one, in which Dragnea was convicted to 2 years of prison with abeyance, therefore implicating the cancellation of the suspension and transforming it to a penalty with execution.
Medium punishments were solicited for Floarea Alesu, the ex-general director of DGASPC Teleorman, and Rodica Milos, former executive deputy director of DGASPC Teleorman, for their accusations.
Minimal punishments were offered for Constantin Cladiu Balaban, Ionel Marineci, Valentina Mirela Marinca, who are all employees of DGASPC.
Simultaneously, in the case of the defendants, who wanted a judgment with simplified procedure – Stoica, Botorogeanu, Gheorghe, DNA asked their minimal punishment and decreasing their penalty with one third.
In contrast, in the case of Dragnea’s ex wife, Bombonica Prodana, the prosecutor asked for the cancellation of the law suit, because she was alleviated from the charges.
On the civil side, DNA appreciates that every defendant should contribute to recuperating the damage caused to DGASPC Teleorman.
Dragnea’s lawyer, Marian Nazat, claimed that not a single witness from the DGASPC Teleorman case says to have heard of instigation from Dragnea.
Furthermore, the lawyer requested the jury to have in mind that the person, which is thought to have been instigated by Dragnea, respectively Anisa Niculina Stoica, specified that she was not made to employ herself and to do her job elsewhere.
In the light of Alesu’s statements, the lawyear claimed that they contradict each other, because every statement depicts a whole new situation.
Meanwhile Liviu Dragnea asked to be acquitted from the charges and with regards to an eventual obligation of doing community service, he stated that he has been doing it for 20 years.
“I affirmed my innocence. I have not committed any of the doings that DNA accuses me of. Regarding the community service, I was very clear. I said, that I hope the situation will not get to that, I solicited my acquittal of charges and I also said that I have been working for the community for more than 20 years” – declared Liviu Dragnea, at the end of the trial.
The case was sent to the jury by DNA in July of 2016, the trial was started in January of 2017.
According to the DNA, Dragnea intervene for keeping in position and paying the rights of salary for two employees from DGASPC Teleorman, in awe of the fact that these two people have already worked for PSD Teleorman.
According to the jury, the two employees did not appear at their workplace and have not fulfilled their tasks from their employment contract with DGASPC Teleorman, because they actually worked for PSD Teleorman.
DNA claims, that Dragnea coordinated and controlled DGASPC Teleorman, the institution in which Botorogeanu and Stoica were associated with.
